ClearBG AI shows the processing route before you start: Browser processing keeps the original file on your device, while Server API processing sends the selected file through ClearBG AI to its configured provider.
How processing works
Choose Browser processing to keep the original file on your device, or choose Server API to send the selected file through ClearBG AI to its configured provider. Image Server API uses Alibaba Cloud image segmentation; video Server API uses the configured video matting provider. The selected route is shown in the upload card before you start.
Temporary processing data
ClearBG AI does not use uploaded files to train its own models. Files are handled only to request the selected result, and the external provider may apply its own short-lived processing and retention rules. Do not upload a file you are not allowed to process.
What we do not promise
We do not claim that every edge is perfect, that every browser supports transparent video, or that a preview is equivalent to a paid high-resolution result.
